1) We require a partner who can obtain and sell patented genomic microarray chips for detecting susceptibility to periodontal disease (gum disease) and its old age comorbidities, especially Alzheimer and cranial small vessel dementia.
 

2) How does the test work? Microarrays detect variants of innate immunity genes to determine whether an individual’s immunity to oral bacteria is strong or weak.

3) What is the Product? One microarray/person should indicate a strong or weak predisposition periodontal disease.
 

4) Microarray chips will ensure a fast, accurate diagnosis of periodontitis susceptibility for most individuals

5) Strong immunity protects from inflammation.

• a. It ensures that bacteria are pushed out from the gingiva [gums] into saliva and swallowed, a natural form of tooth cleaning that prevents disease when supplemented with current oral hygiene methods.

• b. It induces what is called acquired immunity, antibodies and other forms of immunity that reduce the numbers of bacteria in the gums around the teeth.

8) Who would benefit from having the result of this test? Any person aged between 20 and 50, when they attend a dentist or dental hygienist for tooth cleaning, or by requesting it from their doctor.

9) If the test indicates weak immunity, it is important to control periodontitis to prevent dementia.
